KiQ collaborated with "Hiraizumi Honpo," the oldest long-established sake brewery in Japan's Tohoku region, to carry out the new branding of "nem," a luxury-line sake for the global market.

Developed as a global line, "nem" is built around the concept of "timeless, ultimate elegance." The gorgeous aroma and flavor of the Junmai Daiginjo, along with the story surrounding "Nikaho," are expressed in the design.

Founded in 1487, Hiraizumi specializes in the "yamahai" brewing method, is beloved by many, and is regarded as the third-oldest long-established brewery in Japan. The design draws inspiration from a haiku said to have been composed by the Edo-period poet Matsuo Basho—who visited Kisakata in Nikaho during his travel journal "Oku no Hosomichi"—likening the scenic "Kujukushima" islands to a beautiful woman. Released in a limited run of 1,000 bottles, each is numbered.
