Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai "Future of Life" zone3

In Hiroshi Ishiguro's signature pavilion "Future of Life," a future space unfolds where robots are given life and coexist with humans. Our team was responsible for designing the humanoids' "shosa" (gestures) and their ways of engaging with people, offering an unprecedented immersive experience by fusing traditional Japanese "shosa" with cutting-edge technology.

[zone3 / Life 1,000 Years From Now: "Mahoroba"]
Setting: A zone where visitors encounter future humans who have evolved through science and technology. Within a fantastical space wrapped in sound and light evoking the world 1,000 years from now, visitors meet figures freed from the constraints of the body.
Shosa highlights: The people of 1,000 years from now possess even freer bodies and more graceful gestures than those of 50 years ahead. The three figures are designed to respond to one another while addressing visitors through their shosa.
