Harmonizing graceful curves and the power of craftsmanship in an IoT space.
Harmonizing graceful curves and the power of craftsmanship in an IoT space.
KAISHI LAB, a place that is special even as a school, established at Kaishi Professional University. At this facility—among the largest IoT spaces in Japan—in keeping with the university-wide sign plan KiQ handled, the sign near the entrance was finished entirely by hand by a foundryman using the casting method passed down in Kashiwazaki, while the vases and signage for each area drew on the metalworking techniques long practiced in Tsubame-Sanjo. It also aims to serve as a place where, even after development, students can engage with Niigata's industries, maintain a sustainable relationship with local industry, and carry out richly creative development.
