Designing a Living Home
A home designed to awaken the senses.
A co-creation project with the Haseko Group and a cross-disciplinary team.
Through a co-creation partnership between Haseko Corporation, leading robotics scientist Dr. Hiroshi Ishiguro, and KiQ, the signature residence "ivi house" was realized in Fujimigaoka, Suginami-ku. The house is open to the public until autumn 2025.
The project implements a patent-pending system in which environmental elements such as light, sound, scent, air, and human movement respond autonomously to the residents' behavior and the passage of time. Designed to minimize the need for switch operation, it embodies the concept of a "living home" that responds intuitively without instruction.
KiQ led the overall direction and branding across the design studio, technical research team, construction team, and management, building a new housing experience that integrates sensibility and engineering.
We will continue to give form to the evolution of next-generation living environments where people and space resonate together.
