Robots are mainly used as tools for humans. “The perfection that is not in humans is the goodness of the robot, and the expressiveness of the robot is unique to the robot,” he created a “talker” with humans.

Kikuchi’s theme is “shosaku” that many people live without consciousness to always exist anywhere. In order to be able to experience “interactive” using the work, it is a work that faces one-to-one with a robot that does not speak words. I expressed my heart’s degree by light and sound.

On the first day of the release of the work that has been prepared for a long time, I asked what kind of thoughts were made to see how people experience.

Kikuchi: It was interesting that the reaction was completely different by people.

The robot itself was the most common reaction of expression and real. I think that I felt that it is human than humanoid robots that each person imagined because it seems to smoothly while changing the expression.

There were many impressions of ” icult” from media. If you are working to convey information to the general public, I think that it was a lot of impressions because I need to tell the language of non-linguistic experiences that do not use words. I was worried about how to make difficulty in the course, but as our research, I wanted to ask everyone, so I finally felt calm.

There were many overseas customers. The people of art-related schools in the United Kingdom expressed their thoughts as Japanese, as well as in the context of traditional performing arts, but it is a new way to communicate with modern people.

– English-speaking people use gestures and body language on a daily basis in communication.

Kikuchi: There are many people who believe in the words themselves in a fairly direct communication style. There was a surprise saying, “I changed the context, and I felt that it was different even if I had a word.”

Some people seemed to have a feeling of closeness when faced with robots and feeling of presence and happiness through experience. Europeans are very interested in Japanese history and traditional arts. It was interesting to say that “the place where the word is not, but it is common to those that have a long history in Japan.”

Kikuchi: I had a child, and the smallest child I experienced was 3 years old. It seems that it was easy to understand what to do by entering the guide and telling that “I can do the same movement by doing a similar robot.” That’s right. I made it for children to mimic, but I felt that it would be difficult for children to experience because they need creativity when they say “I can move freely”.

We want to think about updates because it can be delivered to more people by making it suitable for nationality and age.

It is not the feeling that everyone who has experienced it, but I think that it will be connected if you come back to the future of everyday life and remember that conversation was very special.
